October nd 184, the first day of the rest of my life. What other way to start my birth then to be given a built in buddy system for my every waking hour, a twin sister. First there was me, Johanna Marjorie, otherwise known as Joey, and seven lonely minutes past till she came, Elizabeth Susanna AKA Liz. I can not answer people when they ask how it feels to be a twin, for I do not know how life is without one.But if I dad to explain it, I would say that for every seemingly negative aspect, there are many times more positives.
Our mom was not the corny type you see on TV. , she never dressed us identically on the same days, she believed we were individuals which we were. She called me Punky Brewster ( an idol of mine growing up ) for she noticed how similar I looked and acted. Liz on the other hand was just also one step up in elegance, she was moms little Betty Davis. My dad also realized that were may as well could have been night and day and decided to be happy and feel blessed for such an outcome. Our older brother Mike knew how to push Liz's buttons which amused me for he could not get to me, I was too happy go lucky.

I had best friends, they happened to be twins, and we were inseperable for three years, they may as well of been my triplets, god had sent them, I was sure of it.
The twins were named Chrissy and Stephy and were Libras too, it must of be a sign . Together the three of us discovered our full potential, and gained the confidence to carry through our free will. No one in my eighteen years of life have influenced me more then two girls, not even a parent or elder. Its true the old saying that nothing can be done better then through teamwork as opposed to on your own. Even when we stayed out all night and were grounded for life, it was not that bad, for we were going through it together, and still had our own little all night legacy. Such legacys we will tell our children and laugh about for years to come.
Just the three of us, it was all we needed, and all we ever wanted. We could sit in an empty room for hours and still be able to laugh and not once get bored. No one understood our friendship, they just knew it was stronger then anyone could break. Within each other we were able to not be afraid of hanging out with guys, starting new relationships, and being free willed. Its scary to think that if I had not happened to have that one class with them, at that one certain time and so on that I would never of met them and life today would literally be so much different.
California State University Chico, a school most my Southern Californian friends had never really heard of. It was to be my destination the fall of 00, for the first time in my life I was going to be on my own, no longer part of a bigger family unit. Though in a non literal way I am now part of a new family, one that consists of all my new friends. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect school to be what it has turned out to be.
